Details:

Anglers will be finding their favorite spot along the banks of Pleasant Valley Reservoir and the Owens River just north of Bishop for the annual Blake Jones Trout Derby, hosted by the Bishop Chamber of Commerce and the Paiute Palace Casino. This is one of the most popular trout derbies in the Eastern Sierra, with anglers coming from all over the state to get a jump on the trout fishing season. Hundreds of prizes, from float tubes to reels to outdoor gear, are offered for prize-winning anglers of all ages who haul in the biggest trout, the biggest catch and match the blind bogey. Anglers can register on the day of the derby, or can preregister by logging onto the chamber Web site at www.bishopvisitor.com. Call 760-873-8404 for more information.
